Swiss Geoscience Meeting 2020
The Department of Earth Sciences and the Platform Geosciences of the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) organised this year's 18th Swiss Geoscience Meeting, which was held on 6 and 7 November.

Plenary session on Friday
The Plenary Session took place on Friday afternoon, with four invited speakers. More than 1000 attendees were registered.

Symposia on Saturday
On Saturday a series of 24 scientific symposia covered the diverse spectrum of current research in geosciences. The symposia were run in 24 parallel Zoom sessions with the help of students from the department. About 450 contributions (talks and poster presentations) were broadcast as pre-recorded videos.
