Research area

My major interest is related to theoretical and computational geophysics, numerical modelling, inverse problem/model parameter estimation/data assimilation. I am particularly interested in developing sophisticated mathematical descriptions of how information on the Earth can be retrieved based on existing models and observations. In the past I have worked on seismic imaging as well as electromagnetic inversion. In the foreseeable future, I expect to work on fluid dynamic problems in the Earth interior and the related data assimilation.
