Additional information
I am a PhD student in Seismology and Wave Physics at ETH Zurich, with a focus on numerical modeling of wave equations and inverse problems.
I have obtained my Master's degree in Computational Science and Engineering in 2023 at ETH Zurich, with a thesis on Full Waveform Inversion for Medical Ultrasound Tomography in Julia on multi-xPUs.
I am currently working on Limited Domain Ambient Noise FWI by tackling the problem of computing inter-stations cross-correlations numerically on a restricted domain using generalized interferometry theory and wave representation theorem.
I am one of the main contributors of SeismicWaves.jl, a Julia package for forward and adjoint modeling of the wave equation, exploiting the computational power of GPUs for running finite-difference-based simulations. You can find the presentation of the package at the following YouTube video (JuliaCon 2024).
