Excursions and field courses
Excursions are an essential part of the practical training, providing a deep understanding of complex processes and playing a key role in developing solutions for current challenges in areas such as natural hazards, environmental issues, and climate change.
“On excursions, we set aside the textbook and experience the reality - nature doesn’t always adhere to the rules.”Madeleine Müller, Earth Sciences student
Principles of D-EAPS for successful excursions
Excursions take place in a unique environment that can pose physical, mental, and social challenges. These conditions require not only thorough preparation but also a high level of personal responsibility. Clear communication and respectful interaction are therefore essential.
The Download general terms and conditions for excursions and field courses (PDF, 101 KB) set the foundation for a successful and responsible collaboration during the excursion. By registering for an excursion or field course, all students confirm that they have read and accepted these rules.
