Tuition fees and training costs
The tuition fee covers the attendance of all course units and must be paid in each regular semester.
ETH scholarships for Master's students
ETH Zurich supports outstanding students who wish to pursue an ETH Master's degree programme with two scholarship programmes.
Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP)
The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) provides students with a full scholarship, a mentoring programme, and integration into the network through ETH Foundation. The scholarship covers the study and living costs during the Master's degree programme.
Earth Science Excellence Master's Scholarship (EASE)
The EASE scholarship provides Master's students with a full scholarship funded by external funds from the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. During their studies, students are accompanied by a mentoring programme. The scholarship covers the study and living costs during the Master's degree programme.
Special purpose funds for Earth Sciences students
Special purpose funds as financial support for Bachelor's and Master's theses respectively for field or excursion projects for Earth Sciences students are available through the Geological Institute and the Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology.
A corresponding application must be submitted directly to one of the two institutes. As a general rule, the written application must be submitted at least three months before the start of the trip with all necessary information and attachments.

IAS Judith McKenzie Field Work Award
The external page IAS Judith McKenzie Field Work Award aims to promote sedimentological field observations for the newest generation of earth scientists. The awarded budget will support Master's students for their dissertation work in the field.
