Academic Association of Scientific Staff
VAME is the Academic Association of Scientific Staff (Mittelbau) at the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. VAME is the German abbreviation for “Verein des Akademischen Mittelbaus am D-EAPS”.
About us
The Academic Association of Scientific Staff (Mittelbau) consists of all scientific staff with the exception of full professors. More exhaustively, all doctoral students, postdocs, Senior Scientists, Private Lecturers and Adjunct Professors belong to the Mittelbau. We convene on regular basis a Mittelbau Assembly to discuss topics of interest. Furthermore, we have representatives in various decision-making bodies of the department.
